 Modern Workplace

Eurostar and Thalys have joined forces under the Eurostar name, marking the beginning of an exciting new era for train travel. They offer both domestic and commercial customers opportunities to explore the UK, Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands via an expanded range of high-speed routes.

In 2022, Eurostar UK rationalised its UK HQ workspace to 20% of its original leased space. This decision was based on several factors following the "Pandemic and Return to Work Strategy," including cost-saving initiatives and reduced employee attendance across all regions of the business.

A new workplace design and a "Hub and Spoke" employee attendance model were introduced.

Across Western Europe, a "Hybrid Workplace Attendance Policy" was implemented in alignment with EU regulations. In the UK, a mix of existing flexible working patterns remained in place, with no specific hybrid model adopted.

Techserve was appointed to define a Digital Workplace Strategy and Employee Experience Solution, optimising the utilisation of the new office space.

This involved Search & Selection, Project Management, and the implementation of new digital workplace solutions, as well as providing ongoing managed services support.

In 2024, Techserve continues to provide Eurostar with workplace optimisation, managed occupancy support, and systems maintenance. We are now working with Eurostar to expand their workplace solutions across Western Europe.

We continue to deliver strategic, evidence-based insights into the performance of "Flexible & Hybrid" workplace occupancy.
